Masterplan

In time, the masterplan will deliver 3,450 houses, a mixed use centre, primary and secondary schools, formal and informal public open spaces, a new motorway junction and a rail station to serve the expanded village.

The Winchburgh masterplan can be downloaded here.

Planning Applications

The ongoing expansion of Winchburgh will be progressed through submission of development applications to West Lothian Council and others for delivery of new housing, commercial, leisure and education uses, open space and infrastructure. This page provides details of recent permissions and current applications sitting with the Council and others for decisions to be made.

All of the applications below can be viewed on the West Lothian Council website here using the reference numbers below. As context, an application for “matters specified in conditions” is an application made that must comply with the planning conditions imposed upon the overall planning permission in principle for the strategic expansion of Winchburgh issued in 2012.
