Winchburgh Albion Youth FC can look forward to future seasons with confidence thanks to a renewed sponsorship deal from Winchburgh Developments Ltd.
Having supported WAYFC since they were first re-formed back in 2018, WDL recognise the value the club brings to the community, offering football coaching and opportunities to play in in the local leagues for boys and girls aged 4-13 years old. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, WAYFC is back up and running with over 140 youngsters training and playing on a weekly basis. The club is supported by 30 coaches and volunteers who actively support the youngsters
John Hamilton, CEO of Winchburgh Developments, and Penny Lochhead, Community, Sports and Greenspace Manager, joined the players and coaches on the pitch to see them in their new kit.
Darren Haddow, Chairman of WAYFC, said: ‘The club has developed brilliantly, especially given the added challenges of the past few years. We are fortunate to have some really strong, committed players and coaches enjoying the club. We truly value the ongoing sponsorship and support we have from Winchburgh Developments.”
John Hamilton, CEO of WDL, said: “The club is a real asset to the community of Winchburgh and it’s great to continue our support. Seeing the young players tonight having fun is what it’s all about and we wish both them and the coaches’ success as they continue to grow.”
